Mr. Yonke received his Bachelor's degree in Political Science with a Pre-Law Minor from Eastern Illinois University in April of 2016. He received his Juris Doctor from Nothern Illinois University in May of 2019 where he made the Dean's List.
Mr. Yonke was admitted to the Illinois bar in November 2019.
Joshua Yonke is a litigation associate who focuses his practice on the defense of commercial, construction, general liability, product liability, and transportation claims. Mr. Yonke is a strong advocate for his clients both in and outside the courtroom. He has proven research and writing skills, and is focused on achieving a swift resolution for his clients when possible through motion practice. Mr. Yonke has successful bench trial experience as well as experience in mediations and pre-trial conferences. Mr. Yonke has excellent negotiation skills and has successfully negotiated numerous settlements on behalf of his clients.Prior to joining Lipe Lyons, Mr. Yonke worked at a Workers' Compensation firm where he effectively managed a high case load and negotiated numerous settlements for his clients. Mr. Yonke has appellate level experience, which includes writing a brief on a successful appeal.
During law school, Mr. Yonke was a judicial extern at the Will County Courthouse where he worked with several judges, including Hon. Barbara N. Petrungaro, Hon. Theodore J. Jarz, Hon. Domenica Ann Osterberger, and Hon. Brian Barrett. As a judicial extern, Mr. Yonke was responsible for conducting research and drafting orders on dispositive motions as well as work in mediations.

In his free time, Mr. Yonke enjoys spending time outdoors with his family and friends. He is also an avid basketball and soccer fan.
