Partner Jordan Tank serves as panelist during American Bar Association roundtable on federal preemption

March 15, 2018
The doctrine of federal preemption sounds simple on its face, and yet, how it impacts aspects of a case can vary greatly depending on the area of law and the type of preemption at issue. Lipe Lyons partner Jordan Tank was one of four panelists who discussed the different types of federal preemption that typically arise in frequently litigated areas. The panelists also discussed how preemption can impact venue and forum selection, motion practice, and discovery issues.

Aside from Jordan, the speakers included Jennifer Greenblatt of Goldman Ismail Tomaselli Brennan & Baum LLP and Tonya Newman of Neal, Gerber & Eisenberg LLP. The panel was moderated by Rachel Nevarez of Wiedner & McAuliffe, Ltd.
