Nahrstadt and Kelly Elected to Executive Positions in the Chicago Lincoln American Inn of Court

September 16, 2016
Two members of the firm were recently elected to positions on the Executive Committee of the Chicago Lincoln American Inn of Court.  Bradley C. Nahrstadt was elected president of the group at the Inn’s end of year meeting in May of 2016 and Ryan A. Kelly was elected to the position of Membership Chair.  Nahrstadt and Kelly will serve in their respective positions through May of 2018.

The American Inn of Court movement began in 1980 when United States Supreme Court Chief Justice Warren Burger tasked Utah District Court Judge A. Sherman Christensen and former U.S. Solicitor General Rex Lee to create an organization modeled on the British Inns of Court system that would promote the goals of legal excellence, civility, professionalism and ethics.  Today more than 28,000 state, federal and administrative law judges, attorneys, legal scholars and law students are active members of the American Inns of Court.

The Chicago Lincoln American Inn of Court was founded on March 11, 1991.  What began as a fledgling group of 16 attorneys has grown to an organization composed of almost 80 members of the bench and bar in Chicago.  The Chicago Lincoln American Inn of Court meets monthly between September and May for dinner and a program on a legal topic of interest to the members.
