Rubinder S. Toor

Rubinder is an Associate whose practice focuses on the defense of construction, insurance coverage, premises liability, product liability, and transportation matters.

Rubinder joined Lipe Lyons in May 2026 after practicing at a Chicago-based civil litigation firm. Prior to his admission to the Illinois Bar, he attended Chicago-Kent College of Law, where he gained extensive legal research experience as a judicial extern at the Richard J. Daley Center. During law school, he also obtained a Rule 711 license, which authorized him to represent the State of Illinois in multiple bench trials under the supervision of Assistant State’s Attorneys at both the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office and the DuPage County State’s Attorney’s Office.
Before attending law school, Rubinder earned a Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) in Epidemiology from the George Washington University Milken Institute School of Public Health. With his M.P.H., Rubinder worked as a Trauma Research Fellow at Cook County Hospital where he utilized statistical software, including SPSS, to analyze data from the National Trauma Data Bank (NTDB). His research contributed to eight peer-reviewed publications indexed on PubMed.
Prior to earning his M.P.H., Rubinder received his medical degree from Gian Sagar Medical College in India. Following medical school, he used his clinical training to provide healthcare services to underserved communities in rural Punjab, India.
At Lipe Lyons, Rubinder represents insurance companies and their insureds in both state and federal courts across a broad range of civil litigation matters. His practice includes the defense of claims involving personal injury, product liability, catastrophic loss, construction-related injuries, and commercial disputes.
